Licensing

Bare Renovations LLC is a licensed home improvement contractor operating in New York City, Westchester County, and the surrounding tristate area. We are licensed or registered in each jurisdiction where we build, and license numbers appear in full on every proposal and contract we send.

If you need to verify a license before signing, ask and we will send the certificate directly.

Insurance

We carry commercial general liability, workers' compensation and employers' liability, and New York State disability coverage on every project, and we require the same of every subcontractor before they set foot on a site. Certificates of insurance naming the owner, the building, and the managing agent as additional insureds are issued as a matter of course — for co-op and condo work, before the alteration agreement is executed.

Limits are set to satisfy the building's requirements. If your alteration agreement calls for higher limits or specific endorsements, send it over and we will have our broker issue to spec.

Building and board compliance

Most of what we build sits inside occupied buildings. We file with the Department of Buildings where the work requires it, work through the managing agent and the building's engineer, observe posted work hours, and protect common areas before the first delivery arrives. Alteration agreements, insurance riders, and contractor packages are handled as part of the job, not as an afterthought.

Warranty

Our workmanship is warranted for one year from substantial completion. Manufacturer warranties on materials, appliances, and equipment pass through to the owner, and we register them on your behalf at closeout along with the full documentation package.

Verify or request documents

Owners, architects, and managing agents can request current certificates of insurance and license copies at any time.
